In line with the celebration of the Science month, Bloomfield Academy Center for Science and Technology conducted its second Science Olympics, with a theme “Science for the People: Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development.” last September 14, 2019.

The event was spearheaded by the Science Department teachers, with the aim to involve the students in different science-related, specifically physics, physical activities.

The students were divided into 4 houses: House of Earth, House of Fire, House of Water and House of Wind. Each house was given ample time to prepare for their cheer that has to be related to the theme.

On the 14th of September, the day where the simultaneous activities were held. Students were challenged in doing the activities for they had to do it within a certain time and after, use their knowledge in science to answer the questions given by the judges.

Ms. Leah Salvaleon, BA’s Science Consultant opened the activities with her opening remarks.

The program started off with the parade of houses.

Followed by the torch lighting and the first-ever flag racing event done by the team navigators namely Ana Vergabera (House of Earth), Daniella Janabon (House of Water), John Paul Limpin (House of Wind) and Ellys Jover (House of Fire).
